“9th Araw ng Digos City” schedule of activities!

The “9th Araw ng Digos City” is week long celebration of its cityhood with this years theme: “Kalamboan, Kalambigitan sa Tanan“. This year the celebration is much more organized and there are more activities planned than the past years. One of the highlights of the Araw ng Digos Celebration is the “Lechonan Sa Kadalanan“!

September 2, Wednesday:

• 6:00 a.m.  - Motorcade – Rizal Park
• 8:00 a.m.  - Cutting of Ribbon for the Taboan sa Dakbayan 2009 – Jose Abad Santos cor. Lapu-lapu Strs.
• -Blessing and Inaguration of the newly renovated Rizal Park
• – Opening Program – Rizal Park
• 2:00 p.m – Cheer dance Competition- Rizal Park
• 7:00 p.m. – Variety Show sponsored by Coke

Sept. 3, Thursday:

• 6:00 p.m. – SK Night- Rizal Park

Sept. 4, Friday:

• 4:00 p.m. – Dep Ed Night- Rizal Park

Sept. 5, Saturday:

• 8:00 a.m. – Jobs Fair – Mini Park
• 8:00 a.m. – Off-Road Competition – Brgy Zone 1
• 2:00 p.m. – Car Show – Rizal Park
• 6:00 p.m. – Cultural Night – Rizal Park

Sept. 6, Sunday:

• 8:00 a.m. – Drum and Lyre Competition – Rizal Park
• 2:00 p.m. – Shooting Competition – Tres De Mayo
• 6:00 p.m. – Duhusay – Rizal Park

• 9:00 a.m. – Culmination Program – Rizal Park

• 6:00 p.m. Hudyaka sa Kadalanan – Rizal Ave.
• 9:00 p.m. – Fireworks Display Rizal Ave.
