“Deca Wakeboard Park” opening soon?!

It has been reported here that “Deca Wakeboard Park” will open before the Kadayawan 2009 Festival. But up to now the biggest wake board park to rise in the Philippines has not opened yet. They got into trouble for pushing the project without prior reclassification of their land, so the opening of the park was not pushed through.
However last Tuesday, November 10, 2009 the Davao City Council approved four applications for land reclassification with all councilors voting affirmative and that includes the land where “Deca Wakeboard Park” is located.
Approved are the land reclassifications of:
* A parcel of 7.43 hectares at Barangay Tacunan, Tugbok District embraced by transfer certificate of title (TCT) T-414958 and T-414962, from “light industrial zone” to “parks and recreation zone” to accommodate the proposed “Deca Wakeboard Park.”
We are hoping to see the park opening soon!
This will surely help help Davao City’s tourism and more work for the unemployed Davaoeños.
